Payroll, for India
An employee master, a monthly run, and the file your bank takes. Provident fund, ESIC and professional tax worked out to the paisa — with the rules set by you rather than built in.
New companies are being set up by invitation while this is new. If somebody has offered you an account, they can create one from inside theirs.
How it was checked
The engine reproduces a real month, line by line, matched against the payment file the bank accepted — every salary, every deduction, every rounded paisa.
Not against what the engine expected. Against what left the account. Anybody who has run payroll knows those are different tests, and only one of them is worth anything on the day a figure is wrong.
That reconciliation runs on every change to this software. A figure cannot move without it being noticed.
One master for everybody: salary, bank details, PF and ESIC membership, documents. Change a salary and the month it affects follows, with the old figure kept and dated.
Attendance from a spreadsheet, a paste, or a photograph of the register. Provident fund, ESIC and professional tax computed to the paisa, with overtime and leave rules you set rather than ones built in.
A payment file in the format your bank takes, payslips emailed to each person, and the registers you need when somebody asks for them.
Every figure that moves is recorded against the person who moved it, with the value before and after. A closed month keeps the salaries it was paid on.
Payroll is the one system where being nearly right is the same as being wrong, and where the data is worth stealing. These are things the product does today.
Not because every query remembers to filter, but because the database refuses. A query that forgets returns nothing rather than returning somebody else’s payroll.
Scans of Aadhaar and PAN are encrypted where they are stored, so a mislaid backup is not everybody’s identity. Backups go astray more often than databases are broken into.
What is held because it was convenient goes; the record of what somebody was paid stays, because tax law requires it. It tells you which, so you can tell them.
One file holding your people, months, documents and accounts — readable without this software, and still readable in five years.
A company paying people in India monthly, where somebody currently keeps the month in a spreadsheet and copies figures into a bank file by hand. It replaces that, and keeps the audit trail the spreadsheet never had.
Not a human resources suite. No applicant tracking, no performance reviews, no leave portal. It pays people, correctly, and proves it afterwards. Saying otherwise would win a visit and lose the customer in the first week.
Not settled yet, and this page will not pretend otherwise. The intention is a price per person per month that reflects what it actually costs to run, published plainly rather than quoted on request.
While that is being worked out, companies are being set up by invitation and are not being charged.
